  1. It's amazing how the distribution of mass affects the Earth's rotation. I would never thought that we could do something to affect or manipulate the rotation of the Earth, much less that it could be affected by a moment of inertia. I really liked this article!

  2. What I understood with this article is that the strength and concentration of mass, in this case water, affects inertia and slows down the rotation of Earth. It sounds crazy but actually makes sense. It is incredible to know and discover this, but, at the same time I think it is sad and dangerous. This Chinese dam is causing more than one problem. The worst part is that most of them aren't intentional.

  3. By displacing all the water Three Gorges Dam has slowed the rotation of earth. It is pretty impressive how the distribution of water or mass makes the rotation of something in this case earth slower or faster. Finally its amazing how after all this years of work constructing this Dam we can see how it is creating world wide problems.

  4. I find this article very interesting because I didn´t know that the filling of the three Gorges Dam has slowed the rotation of the Earth. For the word inertia I understood that the rotation of an object depends on the mass it contains so in the case of the Gorges dam it displaced all the water causing slow rotation of the Earth. I loved this article because it help me realize something I wouldn’t imagine.

I like this article because it's amazing how the distribution of mass can affect the earth's rotation by slowing it. I think it's incredible how humans are advanced in technology, but this advances may cause a lot of problems which most of them are not intentional.
