I find it amazing that in the world there are still very smart people who actually care about biodiversity and our world, just like Edward O. Wilson. People, including me, should care too and protect life in our planet. What I liked the most about the video is his positivism, because we CAN prevent some extinctions and we CAN have a better world. An important thing he mentions is that one of the biggest problems here is that humans actually don't know still how much diversity there is, we are constantly finding new species, so we need to care about this problems. We can't have a good ecology until we learn the species. So, yes, we can stop the extinction.
I find it incredible that we only know 10% of the species in the Earth, and I share his ideas that is important to learn and study all of them in order to stop extinction. I think that is difficult the process of making all generations interested on this topic, but we can do it, and once we have the interested people we can start making things to preserve species. In this video what caused me a great impact is the number of species that were extinct when humans where not here, and in comparison with the number of species extinct now a days... The main cause of this is because we (all the people), are ignorants, and we don't know anything about how much life is in this planet. So what we can start doing is investigating and study the species that are in all of our planet, and try to make others interested on the topic too.
It is a shame that nowadays human beings, including all of us, are ending with the lives of many species by introducing them into a phase of extinction. Extinction is the end of a group of organisms; this is the result of human harmful and contaminated activities. I find this video very interesting because it is unbelievable that before humans came to earth only 1 out of 1 million species became extinct and know day by the day the number is increasing. The solution to this problem is in our hands, first by informing all the people of the importance of biodiversity as ignorance is present in many and they do not know the level of value this species have. Then we need to get informed of the species that are endangered or vulnerable to becoming extinct so in that way we can prevent this from happening.

I think it is a great idea to pursue the care of biodiversity in movies or shows especially if they are movies for kids or adolescents since we are the future generations of the world, and we are the ones who should be worrying about our environment and the conditions in which we would be living it to future generations. I do consider that biodiversity is an important aspect of our world, since it is a very interesting and different way of living of other living things other than humans, therefore it should be studied and measures should be taken to reduce the loss of these many species.
